Anything I need to know before the Branding Photoshoot?
In the planning meeting, we are going to discuss your brand and your vision in detail to make sure it’s fully represented. I will walk you through the entire process, respond to any questions you may have, and support you with the choice of clothing and props.
On the shooting day, just bring the most empowered version of yourself. I will take care of the rest.
What should I wear?
The clothing choice depends on several factors. In the planning meeting, we will go into detail but here are some of the main things you want to consider:
- Does it represent my brand and my values?
- Your clothing should be coherent with the image you want to portray of your brand. Elegant or sporty? Colorful or sober?
- Does it highlight my natural qualities?
- Your clothing and makeup should make you shine. Let’s make sure the color you choose works nicely with your skin tone and with your colour hair.
- Does it stand out on the surrounding landscape or does it camouflage?
- When planning a photoshoot, considering the natural light and the dominant colors of the environment is key. Once we decide on a location, we will make sure to choose clothing elements that are making you stand out.
How long does the whole process take?
The branding photoshoot process composes of 3 phases. From start to finish the process takes 6-10 days.
Planning meeting: This is a short 30-45min meeting to discuss all the details of the photoshoot and will take place the day before the shoot.
Shoot day: Depending on the brand’s need, the shooting range is from 2 hours to half a day. In particular circumstances, like filming in different locations or in different weather conditions, the shooting can take place on multiple days.
Post-production: After the shoot, I will select the best pictures and edit them to make sure they are 100% aligned with your brand. This process takes a few days, depending on the number of pictures to be worked on. In a typical shoot, you can expect 30-50 pictures including headshots, full figures, and details.
What happens if it’s raining on the day of the shoot?
Having a rainy day in Bali, especially during the wet season, is a very likely possibility.
Weather conditions on the island change pretty quickly and we need to adjust accordingly.
If it’s raining during your shooting day, we will simply postpone it at no additional cost. I want you to have the best branding photography experience and some drops of rain are not gonna change this.
I don’t know how to pose
This is a common fear. Most people are not comfortable in front of a camera, they don’t know how to stand, where to put their hands, or where to look at.
